Terms of carriage
Liability. Under Carrier's Risk, Lift It's liability is limited to the declared value stated above. Under Owner's Risk, the shipper accepts the risk of loss or damage in exchange for a reduced rate, per standard road-carriage practice.
Claims notice. Any claim for loss, damage, or delay must be notified in writing within 7 days of delivery (or expected delivery), consistent with Section 16 of the Carriage by Road Act, 2007 — claims raised later may not be entertained.
E-way bill. Where the declared value exceeds ₹50,000, generating a valid e-way bill before movement is a legal requirement, and responsibility for accuracy of the declared value rests with the shipper.
Proof of delivery. Delivery is confirmed only via OTP and a handover photo on the ticket — this is the record both parties rely on in case of a dispute.
Unloading scope. Where unloading help was selected, it covers the ground floor at the drop point only. The driver will not carry goods to the 1st floor or above under any circumstances — arrange your own help on-site if the load needs to go up.
